Immunisations
Confirm those recommended for use in your country of residence are up to date, especially those for children.

Vaccines sometimes advised: hepatitis A (but not normally for package tourists).

Yellow fever certificate mandatory if entering Azores and Madeira from infected country and over 1 year old.

NOTES ON THE DISEASES MENTIONED ABOVE
Hepatitis A is spread through contaminated food and water and cause liver inflammation and jaundice. In risk areas you should be immunised if good hygiene is impossible.

Malaria not normally present.
