Turkey is a transcontinental Eurasian country. It is considered to be 97% Asian and 3% European. Istanbul is the meeting point of the East (Asia) and the West (Europe) with the two continents being separated by a channel called the Bosphorus. As a result of Turkey being a gateway from the mystique of Asia and the modern science of Europe, it has very diverse culture. Therefore, there is freedom of religion and spiritual practices, including meditasyon - the Turkish word for meditation. Turkey has become a number one destination for tourism because of its rich history, incredible beach side resorts, amazing food, and friendly people.
